Peer Leaders

One of my groups includes Peer Leaders.  Older students learn to mentor younger students and  offer a child extra help in reading, play skills or just being a big buddy for someone who needs a little encouragement.  

 

Often Peer Leaders are volunteers to help with School Wide Activities, such as Week of Respect, Peace Week, Kindergarten Helpers, Mix It Up Day at lunch and special activities.  There are times when Peer Leaders teach younger children to play GaGa or Four Square and help teach students how to take turns.
